I have trained Massage Therapists and Spa personnel since 1997.

Here are some of the details for my training sessions...

Training at my place:

Train at Steaming Stone Spa $15 per hour/per person (maximum of 4 people at a time)

    Plus fees for towels and sheets ($1.00 per sheet or towel)

        and products (seaweed, muds, salts, etc = $5 per body)

I would prefer attendees bring in own product to use what they have at their spa

 

Training at your place:

I’ll train at your facility for groups of: 

      --  up to 4 = $15 per hour/per person

      --  5-8 = $12 per hour/per person

      --  more than 8 = $10 per hour/per person

    Plus $30 travel fee, meals (1 per every 4 hours of training), and lodging if needed due to distance or multiple days

    (normal travel range is 120 miles from Stevens Point – beyond that may incur lodging).

 

Minimum of 3 hours training required and a maximum of 14 hours are allowed in one day.

Multiple days and multiple small group sessions per day are allowed.

 

 

Topics currently available for training:

 

            Massage technique fine tuning – great for new therapists to hone their skills for real-world use…

Covers body mechanics, client care (draping, bolstering, basic interaction and questioning skills), ways to apply all those great techniques they have just learned.  This process involves observing massage being given and then improving upon their skill and knowledge instead of forcing a totally different ‘routine’ or pattern.  If one-on-one training is preferred – pricing can be negotiated.

 

            Hot Stone Massage – incorporates 6 different styles of Hot Stone Massage…

Can refine current stone use or introduce novice to the use of Hot Stones.  Can also facilitate “home-study” CEU courses for accreditation – the most popular has been Japanese Hot Stone Massage.  Course materials are separate fee.

 

            GX style machine use – includes GX-5, GX-99, Sybaritic Superior, Sybaritic Body X-Cell, and other ‘Endermatic Vibratory’ type systems.

Can teach full ‘body contouring’ style cellulite reduction treatments; use for machine-aided massage on entire body for quick, deep work or completely sedating, relaxing results.

 

            Steamy Wonder steam canopy treatments – I am recognized by manufacturers (Natural Health Technologies) as a trainer for steam based services

Includes Steam-only sessions and mud, seaweed, fango, salt or sugar scrub uses with steam for a body ‘wrap’ without the ‘wrap’.

 

            Spa menu consultation – includes refinement of any service you may be thinking of to achieve the results your clients deserve.

 

            Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi – slightly different approach to massage, differing from Swedish/western styles

 

            Face & Head massage – to release stress unknowingly held in clients’ daily “masks” – very calming & easy to add to many other treatments

                        Also available to Estheticians

 

            “Massage Share” facilitator – my original ‘class’ for drawing out many techniques and helpful approaches your therapists thought they had forgotten.  I work with your therapists to share their schooling and their experience with clients to teach troubleshooting skills and technique sharing to solve client issues.  Always loved by therapists as a great way to learn and grow in their profession. ($30 per person for 6 hour "share")

 

 

I am currently weaving my way through the hoops and hurdles to offer these topics for CEUs, but no credits are currently available.  Prices will increase when CEUs are offered.  - Education CEU status is "on-hold" until settled in to new location.
